About the Fellowship

During the yearlong program, fellows will work on a research project in their field. Fellows will work with a mentor in their field of study who shares a passion for classical liberalism, open inquiry, and sound scholarship. With help from their mentor, fellows will create an original piece of scholarship; all fellows will be invited to submit their research to the new journal created in conjunction with CLC: Political Economy in the Carolinas. The journal is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes scholarly research focused on the political, governmental, economic, and social institutions of North and South Carolina.

Fellows will also attend networking and educational events throughout the fellowship year, culminating in the Classical Liberals in the Carolinas conference in Charleston, SC. At the conference, fellows will have an opportunity to share their research projects with other regional scholars.

Fellows will be paid a stipend of $2,000 to participate in the program.
